Sherrie A. Madia, Ph.D. has devoted her career to marketing and communications strategy and implementation. She has worked extensively within the not-for-profit sector, as well as corporate industry. Over the years, she has served as educator and one-on-one coach to individuals and organizations on online and offline public relations, marketing, and communications strategies, along with professional development skills.

Sherrie has taught communications and professional development at a range of institutions of higher learning including the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, and the University of Phoenix. She has taught over 100 distinct core classes and workshops, reaching thousands of students in the online environment, and is an expert in online facilitation in higher education. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Drexel University, where she received the Samuel J. Mercer Jr. Award for Distinguished Instruction. In addition, she is a Lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She teaches on the topic of social media and communication strategies. Her core teaching includes public relations, public speaking, research methodologies, intercultural communication, and global branding.

Sherrie is a member of the Information Security Media Career Advisory Council and the International Association of Online Communications (IAOC).  She is a Fellow of the 21st Century Trust in London, and has served as Chair of the Executive Advisory Board of the Books for Kids Foundation, and a member of the Advisory Board for Gingrich Communications.  She is currently Executive Director of Communications, External Affairs at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a Ph.D. in Mass Media and Communication from Temple University, a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Arts in Writing Seminars from The Johns Hopkins University.
